Wet Abrasion Scrub Washability Tester:

Abrasion or Wear Resistance of a product being washed is a very important quality measure for both paints and coatings. How can we measure this? It can be accomplished by having a system that duplicates hand washing with a sponge, nylon brush, abrasive pad, or a natural bristle brush for a designated number of repetitive cycles. One then can compare samples by having the sample measured using a Gloss Meter for luster / glossy difference or weighing the sample for a weight difference or by measuring the color (colour) difference of the original versus the washed sample.

All Four MIZA models are used to test the abrasion, scrub, and washability performance of many types of materials. The MIZA models perform abrasion scrub washability tests in wet or dry conditions.

The MIZA Srub Washability Tester comes with a large touch screen for quick and simple control of cycles, flow, etc., and is widely used in water-based coating applications for wear resistance.
